Josh Lee (Founder & Owner)

Josh Lee, a Perfume Master equipped with over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, is a postgraduate of European Fragrance and Cosmetic Master (EFCM) from world top perfumery school, ISIPCA (Institut Supérieur International du Parfum, de la Cosmétique et de l’Aromatique Alimentaire) in Versailles, France. The perfumery school is originally founded by Jean-Jacques GUERLAIN in 1970.

As EFCM is a two year postgraduate programme whereby the first year is technical knowledge while the second year is on business and marketing, he obtained his additional second Master’s Degree in Business & Management (MBM) with Aroma Trade from the Plymouth Business School in University of Plymouth, UK.

Based on his winning thesis, Josh won the Best Student Award for his postgraduate study from IFEAT (International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trade) and was featured in The Star paper article on 20 March 2005 (Click here to see the article).

Upon returning from his study in Europe, Josh began his career as a Fragrance Evaluator and Market Analyst with the representative company for Technico Flor fragrance house from Marseilles, France in Kuala Lumpur.

A career milestone followed when he joined Malaysia's No.1 female singing artist, Dato' Siti Nurhaliza's new beauty brand, SimplySiti as Senior Manager of Product Development. He has developed a wide range of perfumes, skin cares and colour cosmetics products which has led the brand to win several award accolades, including Best Halal Brand.

Josh Lee grew up in George Town, Penang and studied in St Xavier's Institution, George Town for his primary and secondary education. It has been his ultimate dream and passion to create a special perfume for Penang to share its rich heritage with the world.
